This photo shoots theme was heavily based around the suffragette movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries which advocated the extension of the "franchise" or the right to vote in public elections, to women. I shot these with a strong sense of pride approaching my images with angles that made women look powerful as well as making men threatening. Using the Gaol as a location was fantastic and brought a whole different dimension to the images making them so much more realistic and textured. Location lighting was used throughout these images and reflection panels to highlight features and dark backgrounds. These images were taken to advertise a play within the South Eastern Regional College, I am really pleased with the outcome of these shots and felt like a proud woman!
