Connemara is a district in the west of Ireland, the boundaries of which are not well defined. Some define it to be the land contained by Killary Harbour, the Maam Valley, Lough Corrib; a line from there to the sea at Barna and the Atlantic Ocean.
We spent two days exploring Connemara as it's a vast space with so much to see. We did the 90 min Killary Fjord Boat tour which showed us beautiful views of the Connemara as well as learning about different myths and legends of this place and Organic Connemara Salmon Farming.
We couldn't go to Connemara and not go to the amazing Connemara National Park and complete the Diamond Hill Hike/Climb. The views were spectacular! As well as the hike we enjoyed learning about the animals on the estate i.e Connemara donkeys and also about the bog land in Connemara National Park and the drastic change in the amount of Bog land left in the UK and Ireland.
